The sidecar group is currently preparing for the 2018 IDM season at the Circuit de Val de Vienne in France.

Robert Werth, the new chief executive of the IGG (Interest Group Gespannrennen e.V.) took a look around France on site. He expects 17 to 19 teams for 2018, seven of them from the Netherlands, who will also hold their national championship within the races with separate ratings.
Kretzer
Kretzer with co-driver is one of the favorites for 2018.
Andre Kretzer is one of the favorites for the IDM title. The 2013 champion has been unlucky in recent years. Now the secret of his co-driver has been revealed: it is Bjorn Bosch, who was with Helmut Lingen in 2017. Potential title candidates also include Josef Sattler / Uwe Neubert and Mike Roscher / Anna Burkard. The master team from 2017, Markus Schlosser / Thomas Hofer from Switzerland, is no longer there. It could be a German title holder if the Dutch Bennie Streuer / Gerard Daalhuizen don’t interfere. In addition to their 1,000 cc team for the IDM, they are also using a 600cc edition in the World Cup.
