In the first race, Team Schlosser, who was leading in the overall championship, got off to a bad start – in the event of constant rain, Team Sattler Motorsport was ultimately able to secure victory. In the second race the Swiss from Team Schlosser lived up to their role as favorites.

1st free practice (29.9., 11.45 a.m.)
Where the two Swiss Markus Schlosser and Thomas Hofer from Team Schlosser left off at the last race weekend in Oschersleben, they are now continuing at the Hockenheimring. Most recently, they always ended up in first place in training sessions, qualifying sessions and races, and this time too they showed their best performance in the first free practice session.
With a fastest lap of 1: 34.022, they relegated Team Sattler Motorsport (BMW, 1: 34.732) and AKW-Kretzer-Racing PSV Wels (Suzuki, 1: 35.137) to places 2 and 3.
2nd free practice (29.9., 3.20 p.m.)
Unsurprisingly, Team Schlosser also dominated the second free practice. With a lap time of 1: 32.504, you and your Suzuki are an impressive 1.5 seconds ahead of Team Sattler Motorsport (BMW, 1: 34.062) and just under three seconds ahead of third-placed AKW-Kretzer-Racing PSV Wels (Suzuki, 1: 35.423).
The Sidecar-Racing-Team-Rutz (Yamaha), who were still fifth in the first practice session, are ahead of RSC-Racing Roscher-Burkard-Penz13 with 1: 36.049, who are now fifth with 1: 36.619.
1st timed practice (29.9., 5.35 p.m.)
In view of the dominance of Team Schlosser in previous practice sessions, races and qualifying sessions, it is hardly surprising that the two Swiss team conjured up the fastest lap time (1: 31.693) in the first qualifying at Hockenheim. But positions two to five also correspond to the result of the second free practice: Sattler Motorsport (1: 33.413) in second place, AKW-Kretzer-Racing PSV Wels (1: 33.803) in third place, Sidecar-Racing-Team-Rutz ( 1: 35.273) in 4th place and RSC-Racing Roscher-Burkhard-Penz13 (1: 35.390) in 5th place.
The result of the first qualifying looks like this:
1. Team locksmith (Suzuki)
2. Sattler Motorsport (BMW)
3. AKW-Kretzer-Racing PSV Wels (Suzuki)
4. Sidecar Racing Team Rutz (Yamaha)
5.RSC-Racing Roscher-Burkard-Penz13 (BMW)
6. fun42-racing (Kawasaki)
7. Sidecar Racingteam Smits (Yamaha)
8. Team Bete des Vosges (Suzuki)

13. Lingo´s Lower Rhine Sidecar Racers (Suzuki)
14. Schroder Werth Sidecar Racing (Suzuki)
15. Hirschi’s Sidecar Team (Suzuki)

19. Team Croft Sidecar Racing (Yamaha)
20. The Gent Express (Suzuki)
21. sidecarXperience (Suzuki)
2nd timed practice (30.9., 12.30 p.m.)
There was at least a bit of variety in the second qualifying of the sidecar championship: Team Schlosser continued to drive the fastest lap by far (1: 31.638) with a lead of over two seconds, but RSC-Racing Roscher-Burkard-Penz13 was able to get behind it with one time from 1: 33.945 to 2nd place and displaced the teams Sattler Motorsport (1: 34.293) and AKW-Kretzer-Racing PSV Wels (1: 34.352) to 3rd and 4th place. The drivers of the Schroder Werth Sidecar Racing Team, who only reached 14th place in Q1, made it into the top 5 with a time of 1: 35.827 and relegated the Sidecar Racing Team Rutz (1: 35.987) to 6th place.
The times of the first qualifying also count for the starting grid, which is why the following order arises for the race:
1. Team locksmith (Suzuki)
2. Sattler Motorsport (BMW)
3. AKW-Kretzer-Racing PSV Wels (Suzuki)
4. RSC-Racing Roscher-Burkard-Penz13 (BMW)
5. Sidecar Racing Team Rutz (Yamaha)
6. fun42-racing (Kawasaki)
7. Schroder Werth Sidecar Racing (Suzuki)
8. Team Bete des Vosges (Suzuki)
9.Sidecar Racingteam Smits (Yamaha)
10. Eilers racing team (Suzuki)
11. Team Kranenburg (Yamaha)
12. Sidecar Team Pfaucht (Suzuki)
13. Talens Racing (Yamaha)
14. Lingo´s Lower Rhine Sidecar Racers (Suzuki)
15. Hirschi’s Sidecar Team (Suzuki)
16. Halo Delmeco (Yamaha)
17. Artiola Sidecar Racing (Yamaha)
18th PSV Wels – Gurck Racing (Adolf RS BMW)
19. Team Croft Sidecar Racing (Yamaha)
20. The Gent Express (Suzuki)
21. sidecarXperience (Suzuki)
1st race (September 30th, 5:20 pm)
The Sattler team from Germany won in a rain race ahead of the Schlosser Motorsport championship team. The team from RSC-Racing Roscher-Burkard-Penz13 came in on the place of honor of the podium. Markus Schlosser opened the race with a bad start and the Sattler team immediately took the lead. After the third lap, Sattler was more than four seconds ahead of the new champions of the sidecar class. However, from the fifth lap on, Markus Schlosser’s team seriously set out to pursue and narrowed the gap lap after lap. However, due to a mistake in the final phase of the race, Sattler Motorsport was still able to repel the attack and saved the victory over the finish line. The guest starter and sidecar oldie Dieter Eilers completed a race worth seeing in very adverse conditions and finished in eighth place.
2nd race (1.10., 11.40 a.m.)
A clear matter for the championship team: The Schlosser / Hofer team won the IDM final in Hockenheim. Markus Schlosser and Thomas Hofer from Switzerland had secured the championship title early in Oschersleben. Schlosser drove away from pole position and pulled away from the field with a classic start-to-finish victory. The loser at the start was definitely Andre Kretzer’s team: They only came back in eighth position from the first lap after they had started from third place. Thus, the teams of Sattler Motorsport and RSC Racing Roscher were in second and third place. The Dutch / Belgian team from Sidecar Racing Smits secured fourth place. Andre Kretzer completed a remarkable race to catch up and was already in fourth place in the seventh lap. Then, however, three laps before the end of the race he faced heavy resistance again and slipped back to sixth position. In the overall standings he nevertheless took the runner-up place. Since Bennie Streuer’s team wasn’t at the start, it was actually just a matter of form.
