There are many brands that listen to Triumph. Two of them built motorcycles, one still does today. Triumph in Hinckley is, as the name should otherwise, a real success story since it was revived in 1984 by John Bloor. Aprilia
It was a car Aprilia owes its name. More precisely: the Lancia Aprilia. For company founder Alberto Beggio at the time “The best car in the world”. KTM
Great mopeds. For all those who do not want to follow the interpretation of one or the other KTM fan, the three letters have stood for Kronreif, Trunkenpolz, Mattighofen and thus for the former bosses and the company headquarters since 1954. Before that, from 1934 to 1954, Hans Trunkenpolz was the sole founder, the K referred to motor vehicles. The current logo was designed by house-and-yard designer Gerald Kiska in 1994. Moto Morini

MV Agusta
Mecchanica Verghera Agusta, short: MV Agusta. The logo of the Italian two-wheeler brand, created in 1948, consists of a cogwheel, wing and crown as symbols for technology, aircraft and premium. Mecchanica means: mechanical production. Verghera is a district of Samarate in Varese, where the company is based, and Agusta is the name of the former owner, Count Domenico Agusta. Moto Guzzi

But co-founder Giovanni Ravelli was a pilot in the Italian squadron and was killed in a plane crash. WMI Motorcycles
WMI Motorcycles, never heard of? But maybe the name Regal Raptor, manufacturer of small-volume motorcycles, is a term under which the brand previously operated. The background to the new name is of a legal nature. It is also intended to emphasize the proximity to the Austrian importer, Wilhelm Motor Int., WMI for short. The original logo dates from 1992. It stands for a Chinese king and shows an eagle sitting on a sign in which WMI – formerly Regal Raptor (royal bird of prey) – and Motorcycles appear. The shield should express strength, the eagle exalted, the “sees the secret in the distance that drives us motorcyclists”, so official voices.
Victory
If the brand name didn’t already exist, it would have to be invented: Victory, victory. Great. Especially in connection with this logo. An oval filled in blue in which the brand name appears as a word mark, plus Motorcycles so that you know what it’s all about. Including the name of the parent company Polaris and its founding year 1954. Victory motorcycles, “the new American motorcycle”, it’s only been around since 1997, but there will be a lot more to be heard from if you trust the rest of the logo. Yamaha
The most puzzling logo comes from Yamaha: three crossed tuning forks that are difficult to associate with motorcycles. As is so often the case, the key here also lies in history. Yamaha, or rather Torakusu Yamaha, began building accordions in 1887 and two years later founded an organ manufacture – there we have the explanation. Yes and no. The tuning forks have a deeper meaning. They symbolize the harmony between the areas of manufacturing, marketing and technology. And they stand for Yamaha’s customers, whether as individuals or groups. Usually red, the logo in motorsport is blue.
