Electric motorcycles can now be pre-ordered

The Spanish brand Pursang celebrated its premiere under the leadership of Jim Palau-Ribes – with electric motorcycles. Two different model variants will be offered in the future: E-Street and E-Track. The first copies can now be pre-ordered.

D.he brand name Pursang is derived from the Bultaco Moto Cross models of the same name. Accordingly, the E-Street and the E-Track are based on the simple layout of a Crosser. The Pursang brand is based in Barcelona. The Pursang E-Street, at that time still as a prototype, celebrated its first appearance at EICMA 2018. Almost 18 months later, the first copies in two model variants are now to celebrate their market launch. The Spanish manufacturer has also published a few more details about their new electric motorcycles. At the beginning of June it was also announced that the first 24 copies of the E-Track, which are due to launch in October 2020, can now be pre-ordered.

Modern scrambler look

The E-Track will be equipped with an 11 kW electric motor, which should enable speeds of up to 120 km / h. Three non-removable batteries with a total of 7.2 kWh should enable ranges of up to 160 kilometers. Initially, 60 copies were originally planned, which, compared to the bikes produced below, should come up with a few extras such as components made of carbon. The market launch was originally planned for May 2020, which has now been postponed to October 2020. Pursang continues to call for 13,700 euros for the price.

The E-Street is the cheaper of the two model variants.

Compared to the E-Track, the E-Street is a little less motorized, but with an entry-level price of 9,700 euros it is also significantly cheaper. The 8 kW electric motor is supposed to cope with top speeds of up to 100 km / h. In addition, only two batteries with 2.4 kWh each are installed, with which a range of up to 100 kilometers should be possible. Unlike the E-Track, the two batteries are removable. Unlike the first 60 copies of the E-Track, the fairing is made of plastic. Incidentally, the manufacturer does not reveal what the cladding of the next E-Track models will consist of. In addition, the question of when the first copies of the E-Street will celebrate their premiere remains open.

Coarse Pirelli tires and LED lights

At the front of both bikes, an upside-down fork takes on leadership tasks, the rear wheel sits in an aluminum swing arm with a central spring strut. Wave brake disks are used for deceleration. The 18-inch wire-spoke rims are fitted with large-tread Pirelli tires. The final drive takes place via a conventional chain. All lighting elements use LED technology. The single-seat Pursang bikes – the seat height is 815 mm – are guided by a tubular handlebar. The cockpit is based on a large TFT screen that not only displays all vehicle data, but also offers modern networking options.
