VFX-WR, Neotec II and many new designs
Shoei has presented the two new helmets Shoei Neotec II and Shoei VFX-WR for 2018. In addition, some models that are already available, such as the Shoei NXR, are getting new designs.

The new Shoei Not surprisingly, Neotec II is the successor to the Neotec flip-up helmet, which was released in 2011 and is very popular according to the manufacturer. Shoei has revised the newcomer and equipped it with some new features. In addition, a new off-road helmet will be launched next year with the Shoei VFX-WR.
In addition to the two new models VFX-WR and Neotec II, Shoei has also presented many new designs for helmets that are already available such as the X-Spirit III, NXR and Jo.

The starting price for the new Shoei Neotec II starts at 599 euros.
Fans of the previous model and new prospects can look forward to many new functions with the Shoei Neotec II. For the first time, for example, there is the option of fully integrating a communication solution into the helmet shell. For this purpose, a triangular-shaped control unit was provided on the lower side of the helmet, which was completely embedded in the helmet shell. There is one catch with the new device: if you want to use it, you have to use the “Shoei Rider Link” (SRL) communication system developed by Sena especially for the Neotec II. The SRL system is technically based on Sena’s 20S communication system.
Compared to the previous model, the Neotec looks a bit more aggressive. The flip-up helmet is available in three different shell sizes. The upper ventilation of the helmet should also act as a spoiler, which should have a positive effect on driving in an upright position.
Shoei opted for a ratchet system for the closure. As is typical for Shoei, the inner lining is completely removable and can therefore be easily washed. The folding mechanism has also been revised compared to its predecessor and should now work even better. Good for motorcyclists who like to be out and about in winter: the release button for the folding system should also function comfortably with thick winter gloves. The ventilation system has also been further developed.
The new Shoei Neotec II will be available from January 2018 in sizes XS to XXL. Prices start at 599 euros. The optionally available Sena SLR intercom system sold by Shoei is available for 299 euros.

The new VFX-WR should be available in many colors and designs from mid-March 2018.
With the new Shoei VFX-WR, Shoei will be launching a new off-road helmet on the market next year. Shoei has made some improvements to the successor to the VFX-W. Among other things, the look has become a bit more aggressive. This is particularly evident on the chin section of the new WR. The rib shape on the back has been expanded and now continues along the side of the helmet. As a result, the goggle strap should be able to be positioned better and more stably.
The helmet shell of the new Shoei VFX-WR consists of six different fiberglass and organic fiber layers and should ensure maximum safety in the worst-case scenario. A so-called motion energy distribution system has also been integrated in the top of the head, which is intended to reduce rotational forces. In combination with the styrofoam elements of the off-road helmet, shock-sensitive areas of the head should be better protected. In addition, the ventilation, the mechanism for adjusting the angle of the visor, the visor itself and the inner padding of the off-road helmet have been further developed.
The new Shoei VFX-WR should be available from March 2018; Shoei has not yet named a price.
