Innovative off-road helmet
A cross helmet for over 700 euros? Even before the first fitting, the question of the equivalent arises. How good is the Klim F5 Koroyd?

In addition to the high-quality, hardly creaking workmanship, the self-confident price idea is based on the inside: The manufacturer uses Koroyd, a green mesh made of plastic tubes. It replaces the conventional foam and takes over the shock absorption.
Cross goggles not included
In addition to saving weight, the helmet should also be much more airy, which it was able to prove on the cross piste on hot days. With a measured 1,434 grams (in L), however, the helmet is within the usual range. Another novelty is the yellow intermediate layer from the Swedish manufacturer MIPS. It can be moved a few millimeters in all directions and is designed to reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall, which can lead to dangerous brain injuries.

This green inner material is called Koroyd and takes over the shock absorption of Klim’s off-road helmet.
An adjustable visor, the magnetic hook fastener on the chin and the supplied reserve shield, a clickable windscreen and a high-quality helmet bag complete the features. The cross goggles must be bought as usual. Functionally, the helmet is convincing across the board, although the extensive equipment and good ventilation are bought at a high price.
Noticed positively: Good equipment and workmanship, new security technology
Noticed negatively: Very expensive
Sizes: S to 3XL
Price: 755 euros
MOTORCYCLE Rating: 4.5 stars out of a possible 5
Conclusion
In the first test, the Klim F5 Koroyd was able to convince with good equipment and workmanship. The new security technology also looks well thought out. The very expensive price of 755 euros is likely to put off many potential buyers.
