Up the ski slope by motorcycle, bike and ski Alpe di Siusi
Up the ski slope with the Harley
Have fun on the Alpe di Siusi
Completely fearless ski professionals whiz down the slopes, wild custom Harleys and Buells pound the same snow-covered steep slope – on the Alpe di Siusi in South Tyrol / Italy, winter vacationers were able to enjoy the spectacle called “Bike & Experience skiing up close for the first time.

The venue for this winter motorcycle-ski craze was Compatsch at the foot of the more than 2,000-meter-high Puflatsch in the middle of the skiing and hiking area in the Dolomites, which is popular with families. The rules for this unique floodlit fun race were simple: one skier and one motorcyclist form a team. The skier completes a slalom course on the Puflatsch slope (55 percent steep) in as short a time as possible and presses a buzzer as the start signal for the teammate at the finish. The motorized hill climber then sprints up the slope again on a specially converted machine. If possible, also in the best time – provided the driver and the 200-kilo-plus vehicle even reach the top.
World Cup winner Peter Fill on the slopes
With Peter Fill and Dominik Paris, both South Tyroleans and drivers in the Italian national ski team, the organizers, Harley dealer Daniel Geppert from Bolzano and the Seiser Alm tourism association, were able to win two sports celebrities who are loyal to their homeland. World Cup winner Fill (35) and downhill star Paris (28), two-time winner of the legendary Streif downhill in Kitzbuhel, did not have anything on the slopes in the middle of the current season despite the additional risk of injury. But also ex-ski racers like Klaus Kroll, Achim Vogt and Reinfried Herbst let it rip.
Motorcyclist fell on the steep slope
The motorcycle daredevils such as the multiple hillclimbing winner and Harley customizer Sven Traber from Switzerland are less well known to the general public, but over 2,000 spectators, mostly winter vacationers in the Dolomites, appreciated the ambition of racing drivers and joined them them full of.
In the race, Dominik Paris, who recently dominated the downhill race in Bormio / Italy, was left behind this time. The motorcyclist assigned to him by lot fell on the steep slope and buried all chances of victory in the snow. In the end, the winning team was Peter Fill / Sven Traber, who managed the combination of motorcycle and ski competition with ease. Absolutely worth seeing!
