Leon Haslam succeeds Sykes at Kawasaki.

The 32-year-old Sykes, who is currently ranked 4th in the World Cup table, is looking for a new challenge for the 2019 season. Since 2015, the Briton has been clearly overshadowed by his teammate Jonathan Rae, who has since won the world title on a regular basis. Where Sykes will go is still completely open. The hottest candidate for his successor was Leon Haslam. This is exactly what the Greens have now confirmed as a new driver alongside Jonathan Rea. Haslam previously competed in the Superbike World Championship and can look back on 212 races, 39 podiums – including 5 wins – and a runner-up world title in 2010. Haslam currently competes in the British Superbike Championship, where he leads the table.
