Anyone who has not yet managed to get a real Yamaha Niken can now at least have one crocheted or crocheted. The corresponding instructions are available from Yamaha.

If you don’t have one, crochet one for you. Following the traditional Japanese art of knitting and crocheting amigurumi, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has put a crochet pattern online with which a Niken can be re-crocheted in great detail.

Various components are stabilized with wire.

If the Niken is to be true to the original, crochet thread in seven different colors is required. Of course, you can also put together your own color scheme. In addition, some filler material is needed for the voluminous components and some wire to get the more filigree parts accordingly dimensionally stable. A total of more than 20 individual components have to be made, which are later combined into a Niken.

On the appropriate Yamaha website all individual steps are provided with precise crochet instructions and a video tutorial. The complete crochet pattern can also be downloaded. Yamaha does not provide any size information for the crochet Niken, but the pictures suggest a bike that is around 25 to 30 centimeters long.
