The Yamaha Niken is not only the official support vehicle for the Tour de France, it already made its appearance at the Giro d’Italia and will also accompany the La Vuelta in August.

The 106th edition of the Tour de France started on July 6, 2019 in Brussels (Belgium) and ends on July 28 in Paris (France). the Yamaha Niken accompanies the big bike race during the entire 21 stages over a total of 3,460 kilometers.
That Yamaha ASO’s Niken driver team is responsible for medical care, the delivery of beverages and nutritional supplements, as well as changing tires and wheels during the race. “ASO” stands for the Amaury Sport Organization. The French organization manages and organizes major sporting events such as the Tour de France, but also the Dakar Rally.

Yamaha entered into a three-year partnership with ASO (for the Tour de France and La Vuelta) and RCS (for the Giro d’Italia).
At the Giro d’Italia, which took place from May 11 to June 2, 2019, the Yamaha Niken their use as an official escort vehicle. The Giro is carried out by RCS Sport (Rizzoli Corriere della Sera Sport). With both the RCS and ASO, Yamaha entered into a cooperation that encompasses all Grand Tour events for the next three years. In addition, the Yamaha Niken will also accompany the upcoming La Vuelta from August 24th to September 15th as well as many other major cycling events in Belgium, France, Italy and Spain.
