Bimota DB7 1098 Oro Nero 2009

Menus

The exceptional as well as the prestige are key words in the Bimota house; As also conceived by Ducati, NCR and MV-Agusta. The latter had recently presented us with an F4 covered with gold leaf. For his DB7, Bimota also took gold… black gold, but not the gold that comes off the derricks. Carbon, full, to decline an ORO NERO version. A DB7 where carbon has taken place in every corner. To constitute the fairing, but it is also found really everywhere. The swingarm is no longer an assembly of tubes but a piece of carbon. Just like the self-supporting saddle, the tank cover and the tubular elements of the frame connected to aluminum plates cut in the mass. A motorcycle made for the most part in carbon; it is only the engine and road equipment that are made of other materials.

The DB7 Oro Nero is fitted with the Ducati 1098 twin, somewhat re-tuned by Bimota to bring out 164 horsepower. Its weight / power ratio is now 1, with a weight down to 164 kg. The new dashboard allows you to time your speed on the track and export the data to a PC for driving analysis. The suspensions are obviously in tune, with a rear shock absorber still entrusted to Extreme Tech. The equipment manufacturer Marzocchi is also renewed, with a beautiful and huge inverted fork finished with a nice pair of Brembo radial calipers (obviously the new standard in braking for Italian sports cars).

Announced at around 40,000 euros, the DB7 Oro Nero will be built in very few copies, 20 in total, for a price greater than … at the price of a Japanese hypersport more than the standard DB7.
