For those who would ask the question, look no further for any link between this Bimota and the film of the same name in which Delon and Belmondo appear (especially since the 1st Bimota was released 4 years after the film….). In fact, the Rimini factory celebrates with this model 150 years of the famous Italian hat brand Borsalino.

As usual, the manufacturer knew how to polish us a superb little gem. Her wonderful black and gold dress suits her like a ceremonial costume. The colors alternate on each part of the machine: gold for the Marchesini rims, Ohlins suspensions, frame side plates, foot controls, air vents as well as the Brembo gold series calipers. The black spreads like velvet over the trellis frame, tubular swingarm, fairing elements and tank.

If there is nothing innovative about this color in itself (the Yamaha R1 SP and the Triumph Daytona 675 SE also do it), it is clear that it beautifully dresses this umpteenth version of DB5; moreover only available on order. The beautiful is alluring, elegant…. a lady.

We would have liked with more respondent under the skirt. It’s almost frustrating to find such a beautiful bike, with such great gear and no more than 92 nags in the mill. Because unlike the DB7 powered by Ducati’s last twin and its 160 horsepower, the Borsalino pulsates to the rhythm of the 1000 DS desmo of the old Multistrada. But do we really have to hold it against him ?
