A motorcycle like the K 1200 S which is teeming with so many innovations, it would be a shame to leave it all alone. The saddle, identical in shape to that of the K 1200 S, is a little narrower in its front part. The handlebar trigger guard has been reworked so that the rider stands straighter. On the whole, the vibrations of the mechanics do not have unwanted resonances, although the boiler vibrates somewhat between 7 and 8000 revs but not outside this speed range..
The driving position of this roadster is slightly more comfortable than on the cousin S because of a slightly more raised bust, and oriented towards more comfort in muscular driving. At this game or on a pleasure ride, the BMW does not require a steel arm. Its re-calibrated geometry gives it liveliness and excellent ease of driving. This did not mar the stability of the K which remains imperial.
Bolder than the K 1200 S which (little) preceded it, the R recovers all its qualities while offering more style and access to the clan of big fiery roadsters. Its singular style can be disturbing, its price makes you cough (especially with the languid list of options) but its dynamic qualities can only seduce.
