The Bol d’Or 2019, the 2019/2020 EWC World Endurance Championship, was interrupted this afternoon less than 3 hours after the start, due to weather conditions deemed too dangerous. The race should resume at 6 a.m. on the Paul Ricard circuit.

While the race had already been interrupted several times by the safety car, a heavy thunderstorm on the Castellet circuit led the race management to "suspend the race at the Bol d’Or for the safety of the drivers involved", announce organizers.

Just before the interruption, the Honda n ° 5 of FCC TSR Honda France was in the lead ahead of the Suzuki n ° 2 of the SERT, the Yamaha n ° 7 of the YART started on pole, the Kawasaki SRC n ° 1 world champion in title and the No.77 Yamaha of the Wojcik Racing Team, which had made the first laps in the lead.

The motorcycles were parked in the pit lane, with no possible intervention by the crews before the resumption of the race currently scheduled for 6 a.m. on Sunday morning.
