With a trade fair reserved for professionals in the south (Lyon) and a mixed trade fair for the general public in the north (Le Bourget), the Mondial de Paris (Porte de Versailles) had better watch out for the brand new alliance JPMS and the Paris Moto Show…

As we indicated when announcing the arrival of the Paris Moto Show (read), the trade show war rages on the eve of the Paris Motor Show, for the moment the undisputed benchmark of mainstream motorcycle shows in France….

In less than three months, the two outsiders – on the one hand the JPMS of Lyon, which very quickly became the unmissable event for motorcycle pros, and on the other the Paris Moto Show, the new born expected for February 2006 – managed to conclude a "partnership agreement committing them to the future". The objective is to "develop a constructive synergy between these two complementary events, both in terms of location, attendance and objectives", specify the organizers.

Concretely, the alliance concluded between the JPMS and the Paris Moto Show provides for the establishment of a coupled tariff allowing exhibitors of the two shows to benefit from a 5% discount in addition to the commercial conditions applied, the invitation of all JPMS visitors to the following Paris Moto Show, the integration of "Products of the year"elected to the JPMS at the evening of"Motorcycle Engines"organized on the first day of the Paris Moto Show for the press and professionals, the establishment of links between the websites of the two events and the realization of a market study in order to clarify"optimization of the calendar possible for the 2007 editions of the two events".

"By working in perfect coherence between us, we increase our ability to listen to the market and we give the chances of better reactivity and greater efficiency to its players.", explains Stephane Clair for the JPMS while for the Paris Moto Show, the boss of Option Organization Eric de Seynes believes that"thanks to this merger, we mobilize our energies, our ideas and our skills to best meet the expectations of all professionals, the general public and all those involved in motorcycles, scooters and quad bikes in France".

For their part, gathered in a great extraordinary council in a farmhouse in the Cevennes, the experts in trade fair geostrategy and in event marketing from Moto-Net have agreed on the publication of the following advice: may the best win !

  • Paris World Cup: from October 1 to 9, 2005 at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles ()
  • JPMS of Lyon: January 29 and 30, 2006 ()
  • Paris Moto Show: from February 20 to 26, 2006 at the Parc des Expositions du Bourget (no site yet)
