BMW sold 123,495 motorcycles worldwide in 2014
BMW Motorrad has just published its sales figures for 2014. Not surprisingly and for the fourth consecutive year, the German brand has improved its score: 123,495 motorcycles and scooters were sold worldwide. Sehr gut !

"For the first time in the company’s history, BMW Motorrad has sold more than 120,000 units. This is an increase of + 7.2% compared to the already exceptional result of the previous year, as well as the fourth consecutive record year in terms of sales.", says the big boss Behème.

Among the 123,495 machines listed by the Munich firm, 24,380 were (fully updated in 2013) and 16,242 were versions equipped in turn in 2014 with the "fleet-twin". Equipped this year with the same engine, the represents the third best-selling BMW in the world with 12,140 units sold.
Using the latest version of the "air" Boxer, the "got off to a phenomenal start and jumped right from the start to fourth place on our bestseller", underlines the big boss. In all, 8,488 copies have found buyers, to such a point that"this success exceeded our own expectations", admits Herr Shaller.
Far from these impressive volumes, the new launched on the (micro-) electric market last May sold 550 copies, almost half of which in France with 228 registrations (read our).
But France is not the first market for BMW Motorrad: "Germany is still the most successful single market for the Bavarian brand, covering around a fifth of all units with 21,714 sales", say the Germans. The United States is the second largest market for BMW (15,301 motorcycles), ahead of France (11,600) and Italy (10,487).
On the "more than 500 cc" sector, "BMW Motorrad remained the market leader not only in Germany (25% of its domestic market, Editor’s note), but also in Italy and Spain", we note in" Munchen ". As a reminder, in France the brand has progressed by one place: third in 2013, it is second in 2014.
In 2015, the propeller brand will again launch five new models:,,, and.
