Three weeks before JPMS 2006, the 4th edition of this motorcycle, scooter and quad show, which has become the meeting place for professionals keen to start the season off right, more than 600 brands are registered. TGV offered to professionals !

The fourth Professional Motorcycle, Scooter and Quad Days will be held in Lyon on January 29 and 30 with 172 exhibitors representing more than 600 brands.

"The major fact of this 2006 edition is the increase", explain the organizers:"In view of the increase in registration requests, we had to double the exhibition area! Entire sectors are developing: off-road in particular, but above all, many exhibitors have now chosen JPMS as the one and only show of the year".

The 2005 edition, which had already achieved significant success in terms of both exhibitors and visitors (read), should therefore be surpassed by this fourth edition..

Is this a sustainable trend on the part of professionals expressing the need to find themselves "among themselves", far from other "general public" exhibitions which do not meet their expectations? "We are indeed touching on a fundamental problem in the sector.", estimate Jean-Pierre Bonato and Stephane Clair, at the origin of the event:"all the shows are usually geared towards the big manufacturer / general public duo, with multiple constraints: obligation to set up spectacular stands to impress onlookers, duration of the show, impossibility of treating the pros calmly, etc. Both in human and financial investment, traditional exhibitions are heavy to bear".

But this need for a purely professional salon "has long been ignored by the usual shows because the motorcycle world is not very structured", explain the organizers:"absence of precise statistics, no professional union or at least grouping of equipment manufacturers and apart from registrations, everything is unclear !"

With more than 3,500 visitors in 2005 (out of a total of around 5,000 points of sale on the market, or more than one in two stores!), Will the 2006 JPMS beat a new attendance record? Everything seems to indicate it … See you in Lyon on January 29 and 30 !
