Motorcycle and scooter manufacturers expect a globally stable 2017 market
Gathered this morning in Paris for the traditional press briefing of the International Chamber of Automobile and Motorcycle Syndicates (CSIAM), the main motorcycle and scooter manufacturers have hypothesized a generally stable 2017 market, with motorcycles intended for A2 licenses which will become a separate category and a show that remains to be defined in 2018… Debriefing.

- Low growth or stagnation of the 50 cc segment
- Increase in registrations for the 125 cc

The start of 2016 was indeed marked by a wait-and-see attitude from large cube customers before the, while the month of December saw a few thousand "artificial" registrations of Euro 3 motorcycles and scooters, which will come out of the dealerships in the coming months weeks on "zero kilometer occasions". "The 2016 results are totally positive because for the first time since 2011, the market for 50 cc mopeds is also on the rise with a growth of + 2.9% and a total of 92,880 units", further noted MM Archambault. and De Seynes by underlining "the take-off of which is confirmed with a growth of + 193% and a total of 5,672 units, or 6.1% of the moped market". Slight increase in the number of motorcycle licenses in 2016

An urban mobility solution … at the show !
It now remains to convince the public authorities of the benefits of motorcycles and scooters with a view to urban mobility, a vast project that will probably be one of the pillars of the next … The manufacturers gathered within the CSIAM are currently examining even the proposal of Jean-Claude Girot for AMC Promotion.
Asked by MNC, the general commissioner of the motor show recalls that he was mandated to "work on a motorcycle show which would take place at Le Bourget in March 2018", but that he is also very open to a solution mixed car-motorcycle, with a hall entirely reserved for motorcycles at the next motor show in September 2018 !
