With a new street line-up, the Maxxis brand, CST, has started to modernize its motorcycle tire range, with a strong focus on the booming 125cc motorcycle market.

CST Magsport

The first step is the new CST Magsport. Designed for use on motorcycles of the 125cc class, great importance was attached to mileage and safety in the wet, which it still has to prove, for example, as the first tire on the Supermoto Aprilia SX 125. Visually, this requirement is underlined by a high proportion of negative profile, which is intended to improve drainage in particular when it is wet. The new Maxxis Magsport in diagonal construction is available in the following dimensions:

Front tire (C-6501)

  • 100 / 80-17
  • 110 / 70-17

Rear tire (C-6502)

  • 130 / 70-17
  • 130 / 80-17

The second new release from CST is the CM-615 / CM-616. As the Magsport was specifically developed for use on 125cc machines, the focus here was on comfort and stability. This is to be achieved through a large contact area in the middle of the barrel and the use of the radial construction of the carcass. The new CST CM-615 / CM-616 is available in the following dimensions:

Front tire (CM-615)

  • 110/70 R 17

Rear tire (CM-616)

  • 150/60 R 17

Behind the two new profiles for the 125cc class is an upcoming renewal of the portfolio: “With the new profiles from the CST motorcycle line-up, we serve the segment of popular entry-level models of the 125 class and some of the most important models in the large scooter segment”, explains Danny Peters, Sales Manager for the Motorcycle / ATV and Quad tire division at Maxxis International. “In the next few years we will continue to expand and renew the range with different tire combinations.”
