Fans of the very high end will naturally turn to the 1198 R Corse to treat themselves to the must of the Italian twin. There is also a top-of-the-range version more accessible for those looking for high-end with the presence of the superbike but a little less violence in the fury of the Bolognese twin: the 1198 S Corse. The recipe is the same as for its big sister SBK: an 1198 S suspended by Ohlins, one-piece radial Brembo braking, a factory-type aluminum tank (increased capacity), Ducati Traction Control, a racing machine frame and a superb single-sided arm. The decoration, superb, is identical to that of the R – a nod to the new logo of the Ducat ‘competition department. The only differences come from the fairing (all carbon on the R), the absence of the race kit, and the twin which comes out 10 hp less; there are still 170 left, and that’s far from veal slack. The price is a bit more accessible… .. Uh, everything is relative…
