Ducati Hypermotard 950 Concept – Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2019

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Concept (2019)

Presentation at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este

Ducati presented a new concept bike as part of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. We can expect another version of the new Ducati Hypermotard 950 soon?

It is not the first time that Ducati has used the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este to present a new concept bike. In 2017, for example, there were two prototypes based on the Ducati Scrambler at the event in Cernobbio. Some time later, one of them actually came on the market in a similar form as a series model. So this year, too, the Italians are delighting us with a concept bike that is quite nice to look at. This time visitors to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este were able to see a prototype of the D.Marvel at the ucati Hypermotard 950. However, Ducati has not yet disclosed a particularly large amount of information about the bike. In a press release now officially published by Ducati, the Italians have at least let out a little more. Above all, they are proud to have won first place in the “Concept Bikes – New Design and Prototypes” category at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

Aggressive yet sporty look

The optics have also become a bit more aggressive thanks to the full LED headlight. Ducati has also given the concept bike some visual elements that are reminiscent of a competition motorcycle. The red elements on the rims are also noticeable. Some of the tires have also been painted red and optically connect seamlessly to the rim. The engine cover is also kept in the same color.

When it comes to optics, Ducati uses elements of the concept bike that can also be found on a competition bike.

Otherwise, Ducati donated the concept Hypermotard brake elements from Brembo. For the suspension, the Italians rely on components from Ohlins. The tires come from Pirelli. It will be interesting to see whether Ducati is actually working on a new Hypermotard 950 version that could come as a production model in the near future. In any case, we wouldn’t mind.
