To travel in trail-GT or to travel to the five continents, you have the Multistrada family. To have fun between the dunes, the cobblestones and the nooks and crannies of Beach Lagoon, Ducati completes the Scrambler family with the Desert Sled. A motorcycle that draws its inspiration from American machines from the 60s and 70s, those that hummed off-road under the California sun.

The Scrambler takes on the outfit of that spirit and adapts his skills to playful outings with pals and rocks. For this purpose, the frame has been reinforced, the swingarm is modified and new suspensions enhance the approach to the ground. Kayaba elements develop 200mm of travel both front and rear. This Scrambler benefits from better ground clearance and a higher saddle perched, 860mm from the ground.

Of course, spoke rims are a must. 19 inches at the front and 17 at the rear, with tires suitable for touring, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR. When it comes to braking, there’s what it takes with a 330mm disc complete with a Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial caliper at the front. Behind, there is a 245 mm with a piston. Without forgetting the ABS.

No change on the engine side. Like other Scramblers, the Desert Sled trusts the 73 horsepower of the 803cc twin. Funny, available and playful, the Italian block is now stamped Euro4. A new injection calibration gives it a little more smoothness of operation.
As with all models in the family, a good swig of accessories will allow you to decorate this machine ready for a lot of country eccentricities..
