Flattracker Indian Scout FTR 750

Debut at the AMA Pro Flat Track Race

The Indian Scout FTR 750 is scheduled for the AMA Pro Flat Track race on September 25, 2016 "Ramspur Winery Santa Rosa Mile" start in Santa Rosa / California.

The motorcycle brand revived by the Polaris group I.ndian has made a name for itself above all with heavy cruisers beyond Harley-Davidson. In the MOTORRAD underground car park, the long-time tester Indian Chief Vintage shapes the image of the brand with his sweeping fenders and leather fringes. 

But Indian motorcycles are also committed to a sporting tradition, even a racing tradition. The brand is now thinking about this and will be bringing the Scout FTR 750 flat-track racing motorcycle to the AMA Pro Flat Track race for the first time on September 23, 2016 "Ramspur Winery Santa Rosa Mile" in Santa Rosa / California.

The Indian Scout FTR 750 is a racing machine developed by Indian Motorcycle Racing with a tubular steel frame and carbon parts, which drives a liquid-cooled V2 engine with 750 cc. It should combine the latest technology with the styling of legendary Indian racing bikes of bygone days.

Gary Gray, Vice President Engineering, is in good spirits: "We at Indian Motorcycle are proud to be competing in flat track races again with the Indian Scout FTR 750. We are delighted that Joe Kopp will be piloting the bike in its historic debut, and we are all looking forward to the 2017 racing season with great anticipation. "

Exactly: Racing legend Joe Kopp will be in the saddle. He is one of 15 drivers so far who "Grand Slam" of dirt track sports have ended with victories on the short track, the TT, the half mile and the mile. In addition to winning the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship in 2000, he also won the AMA 600 Hotshot and Supertracker Championship in 1999 and 2000.

In the run-up to the AMA Pro Flat Track Event, Indian Motorcycle will also support the Pro / Am Hooligan and RSD SuperHooligan races on September 24th in Santa Rosa. In addition to other special guests, Roland Sands and his team from Roland Sands Design (RSD) will be at the start with their Indian Scout Sixty Trackracers in the SuperHooligan race.
