Riders’ objectives at the French Moto GP

Fabio Quartararo

“I’m really happy to be able to have a GP at home this year because there aren’t many races this year, and it’s special to get there as the leader of the championship. Le Mans is a track that I have. like it very much. It is going to be important for us to fight for the win and score as many points as possible. Normally this is a track that works well for me. I finished eighth there last year, but it ‘was a very fast race and I hope to continue my Barcelona momentum. I just hope the fans allowed to come heat up the atmosphere as it is quite cold right now! "

Franco Morbidelli

"Le Mans is a track that I like a lot. I did a few decent races there with good results: first top 10 in 2014 and victory in 2017. I feel good, both physically and mentally, so I am in good shape for the next three races in a row. We are entering the second half of the 2020 season, my best MotoGP season yet. Now I can’t wait to get back to racing after this very short break. We will try still be quick and we’ll see what we can do at Le Mans, before going to Aragon ".

Maverick Vinales

“We have left behind what happened at Montmeló and continue to focus on the job at hand. I feel optimistic. We know that Le Mans is a circuit that can be suitable for our bike if we work well. I really like this circuit, I have already had good results there so I think we can still do well this weekend. But, as always at Le Mans, the weather can be a deciding factor for the course of the weekend. end of the race, especially now that we arrive at this circuit much later in the year than usual. I’m curious to see what we can do there ".

Valentino rossi

"Of course the end result in Catalonia is unfortunate, but the positive thing for us is that we are quick enough to fight for the podium and I think we can try something this weekend in France as well. Le Mans is a track that I like a lot and we are generally competitive there. The aim is to continue the work we have done in Catalonia and to fight again in front. We will do our best to fight for the podium. Hopefully, if not sun, at least constant weather so that we can be fully prepared for Sunday’s race. ".

Alex Marquez

“Last year the bike worked really well here at Le Mans and also in Aragon so I’m looking forward to riding there. We’ll have to look at the weather forecast because at the moment it doesn’t look great, rather cold and wet, but that can change. Whatever the conditions, I arrive really motivated for the second half of the season. I’m ready to attack hard to show the potential we had before the race in Barcelona. Last week , I trained with determination to keep improving ".

Stefan Bradl

"We are entering another intense period with three races in a row, as well as a test. As always, we will approach each race looking to help the HRC as much as possible while aiming for the best result. Le Mans has the potential to do so. be very interesting with the weather, we will have to see how it goes with the rain and what the temperature of the track will be before we can make plans for the weekend. Hopefully we can have a good weekend and do a another step forward ".

Joan mir

"For now, I’m focused on the goal of continuing to get the best possible positions and try to gain points. I’m really happy with how the last few weeks have gone and Le Mans is a track that I like, although with the weather it could be difficult for everyone this year! I’m ready to get back on track and see what we can do ".

Alex Rins

“Getting on the podium the last time in my home race was a great feeling and I aim to get back there as soon as possible. Le Mans is not the best track for me, but my GSX-RR is in it. comfortable on almost every track this year so can’t wait to ride and see what’s possible ".

Andrea Dovizioso

“After the frustrating race at Montmeló, it was really good to have a week to recover not only physically, but also mentally. I can’t wait to get back on the track at Le Mans, for two main reasons: firstly, j ‘hope to finally redeem myself after the disappointment of the last race. Also, we will ride on a track that I have fond memories of last year. I try to see each GP as a new opportunity, confident that I can be competitive again. At Le Mans we will have to face uncertain weather conditions, a factor that will certainly affect the weekend a lot. In any case, we are ready to fight to the end. ".

Danilo Petrucci

“In the last two races we have managed to improve our performance, but I think there is still room. Every Grand Prix is different but Le Mans is a really unique track. Last year we managed to get a double podium with Andrea. The low temperatures and the rain that will probably bother us this weekend are two factors that will affect the Grand Prix and besides, it will be the first time we race on this track in October. times, it will be crucial to qualify well to fight for a satisfactory result in the race ".
