Yes, I know, that doesn’t mean anything, but we have to admit that this custom gives the impression of having undergone a solid customization:
A long fork topped with a double handlebar incorporating a good part of the wiring, a taut line from the tank assembly to the mono saddle and above all the famous Hardtail system allowing the rear mudguard to be attached to the wheel, small touch of modernism with the small LED light encompassing the turn signals . All these details give a beautiful set.
This Harley could be the link between the pure and hard biker and the Bc-bg rolling for the show. It really exudes a classy air which does not prevent it from being still directly identifiable!
Hey, a mono saddle? But no, it hides within it a small emergency jump seat. Nothing to do, I can not bring myself to call these 10cm of foam a passenger seat! and yet !, thanks to a clever and colossal articulated arm, they allow, in a few seconds, to pass as a duo and take your probable new conquest to the discovery of our “superb” roads.
The saddle culminating at 622 mm (the lowest of the Harley production), riding the beast is not a problem for me! No more than straightening the 300 and a few kg thanks to the lever arm that are the two branches of the large handlebars.
The 1.584cc bi snorts in a deliberate crackle which, unfortunately, the pots being particularly muffled, do not follow this appetizer with a “Harley” sound..
The feet and arms forward position is not surprising on this type of machine and the large saddle, aided by the rear suspension, provides more than satisfactory comfort. And this, even if the rear of the saddle raised in the mono position is destructive for the lower back after a few kilometers..
Shining brightly, this Harley still has a lot of mouth !
Its handling is unsurprising: the bike being low and balanced, the difference in section of the front tire compared to the rear does not affect the angle. The Night road, equipped with the same tires, seemed to me much more clumsy.
The torque present makes you want to shift as quickly as possible to 6th gear (visualized by an indicator light on the meter) and take advantage of the extension of 11.9m Kg at 3.200rpm.
Of course and as usual the rhythm adopted with this machine remains rather cool, the little angle possible does not leave too much room for improvisation..
This is not, either, the original idea of this motorcycle.!
In conclusion :
It’s hard to find any real flaws in this Milwaukee production.
The flawless finish, the top-of-the-range production, the balanced set, these are some qualifiers that stick well to this Rocker.
Well, the asking price remains as strong as the biker that we imagine on this type of machine … 18,895 roro, ouch
Grief minds will point out that if Harley starts releasing bikes that are already customized, what will be left for users to get noticed? ?
No problem because all tastes are in nature, I am sure that future fans of this softail will succeed in making it closer to their image !
