Important sponsor of the LCR team – which runs Randy de Puniet in MotoGP – Givi this year unveiled a clever helmet concept: its X 01 is thus equipped with two interchangeable chin straps "a summer, more ventilated, and the other winter, more protective, which – once attached – become integral with the helmet", explains the manufacturer.
Consequently, the X 01 cannot be cataloged as modular, but rather as a full face helmet "2 in 1" which also weighs about 200 grams less than a classic modular! Made in Lexan poly-carbonate from General Electric, the equipment has a hypoallergenic, anti-perspiration, removable and washable interior, whose specific constitution has a "memory" effect on the cheeks to adapt to the skin. face shape.
From now on, the X 01 can also be used as a jet, since its designers proudly announce the positive result of their product in the homologation test! This being retroactive, "X 01 owners can directly ask GIVI free of charge for the parts of the jet kit to put on the chin bar fixings", says the manufacturer, whose network spans some 40 countries !
To summarize, the X 01 can now be worn in the city, for short trips in a jet version, in peri-urban areas in an open chin version ("which protects like an integral and allows a ventilation practically equal to that of a jet", specifies Givi) when the summer heat discourages the use of a conventional integral and integral version for a little more extensive rides and for winter !
