Coyote buys Tracker … and also warns in case of motorcycle theft
The company Coyote System announces that it has acquired "nearly 70% of the capital" of Traqueur, a specialist in post-theft tracking devices via geolocation. Thanks to this takeover, Coyote would become the "first and only player in Europe to combine real-time driving assistance, recovery of stolen vehicles and fleet management". Explanations.
According to Coyote, one of the pioneers in the field of – renamed – speed camera warning systems, "5 million users exchange information on speed limits, dangerous areas, traffic jams and road disturbances daily" thanks to to its boxes, its telephone application and its on-board systems directly in certain cars thanks to partnerships with manufacturers.

Coyote will take advantage of its takeover of to launch an offer for businesses called "Coyote Business" and another for individuals called "Coyote Secure". In both cases, the main additional service offered will be to facilitate the recovery of a stolen car or motorcycle using a geolocation beacon..

“70% of Coyote customers” would be interested in this device, assures this company created in 2005 by Fabien Pierlot, which will also strengthen its so-called “smart driving” tools via three new services: alert vigilance, the drowsiness alert and the "driving score", a measure which would make it possible to identify areas for driving improvement, "in particular concerning the flexibility of driving".
Good news in terms of jobs: "the Traqueur employees have already joined the Coyote teams at the new company headquarters", specifies Coyote, who now owns "nearly 70% of the capital" of Traqueur.
