The CBR 1000 F opened up new horizons of fast travel. Although not everyone liked its fairing when it first came out, the full bodywork gives the bike a certain class as well as a very special style. Technologically, it was she who introduced the CBS braking system, which couples the front and rear calipers, providing real efficiency.. Although CBR is more synonymous with sport in the motorcycle world, the 1000 is presented above all as an efficient sport-GT, a niche to which it has largely contributed. The machine was designed to go far, fast and long, as evidenced by the quality of workmanship and the assembly of parts which are remarkable. Comfort is present, flexible suspensions, the passenger well received and the saddle welcomes you. The big fault of this CBR is to be too wise: the engine is powerful but without relief, like a dish which would lack salt and pepper. Despite the general balance, the weight commands respect, favoring a coiled and flexible ride. It’s clear, better to ride than to play! Yet it is easy to handle, holds the floor very well, and one could easily measure it at the 800 VFR, as it provides similar services. The sport side less, more torque and a more friendly price.
