“Me too, I want a CBR!”. They are numerous to pronounce this sentence, and not to have the license. Never mind. Honda is open to everyone, think of everyone, and decided in 2004 that a CBR handlebar could conquer other hearts than those on the Supersports and Hyperpsorts market.. Thus was born the CBR 125 R. With a mouth of CBR 600 FS 2001, a price flush with the daisies, remarkable handling and reliable mechanics, the mini-sports car quickly made a name for itself. 2007 announces its first facelift.

The advantage of having big sisters is that you can draw inspiration from their wardrobes to draw your finery. The small CBR thus takes the lines of the last 600 and 1000, with special attention dedicated to the fork crown, now very similar to that of the 600 RR. The new headlight shape is now exactly the same “Line Beam” style as the big CBR RRs.
The rear has not changed. Most of the modifications to the CBR 125 focused on the front design, a slight remodeling of the instrumentation, and improved mechanics..

The small single cylinder retains its characteristics: just over 13 hp, 2 valves, water-cooled, single ACT. The big improvement is the arrival of PGM-FI injection on this small boiler. With this, the CBR 125 will start better, pollute less, and benefit from a more rounded engine management..

Under the fairing, it’s the same machine (with 4 kg more): double perimeter steel beam frame, aluminum rims, narrow tires, single brake disc … Honda focused on design and power supply – the whole bike did not need major (and expensive) conversions. The price of this little sportswoman should not change, as she will prove to be cleaner and endowed with a little more sex appeal. What do budding pilots think ?
