With the 1100 Shadow, you can choose between 2 design styles: The C2 with a typically Japanese silhouette, or the C3 designed in a spirit inspired by the 1930s. The latter is distinguished by more chrome, white wall tires, bigger mudguards and more punchy mechanics. Although it is not as powerful as the competition (Harley-Davidson or Kawa VN 500), the Honda twin tows smoothly and does not lack pep. Of a rather pleasant use for this type of machine, the gearbox unfortunately suffers from a staging to be reviewed on the first reports. Braking is sufficient for performance, especially since the driving position does not encourage sports driving. We won’t complain about the comfort, which is good enough, but we are surprised by the handlebars. Its shapes and width frankly spread your arms. It gives you a pretty cool look but less of a smile when you have to squeeze through traffic. We find the Honda build quality, although the price is kept in the low range of the segment. Note that this custom is made in the states … the desire to conquer this market is no longer hidden.
