Japan, Italy, Spain … It is now Korea’s turn to place its sports team in the 125 category. The small CBR is no longer the only one to play on the 4-stroke field, and its new opponents will not spare her. After the Rieju RS2, here is a new 125 for apprentice trackers: the GT 125 R – A reduced copy of the 650. Moreover, from far or near, the mimicry is more than flattering: perimeter frame (but of different structure), V-twin engine, sport integral fairing, large inverted fork; even the digital dashboard is copied from the big sister’s.
Derived from the Comet 125 roadster, the GT 125 R has, in addition to its exterior, low placed handlebars and the air-cooled twin cylinder. With about 15 hp, the small twin delivers almost the legal maximum – a power relatively fair to carry the 150 kg of the machine. What will handicap him the most is his not really democratic price.
