The consequences of severe weather do not allow a race
IDM at the Nurburgring canceled

The planned runs of the IDM on the Nurburing on July 17 and 18, 2021 have to be canceled due to the current severe weather consequences in the Ahrweiler district.

The planned runs for the IDM on 17. and July 18, 2021 at the Nurburgring have been canceled. Two championship races for the IDM Superbike 1000 were to be held as part of the supporting program of the ADAC Trauck Grand Prix. After heavy rain and storms, there are floods and floods in many places. A disaster was declared in the Ahrweiler district, which is also home to the Nurburgring.

“The cancellation of the race weekend is absolutely justified”, says IDM series manager Normann Broy. “All rescue workers in the region are on duty and our thoughts are with the victims during these difficult hours and we express our condolences to them. In such a situation, racing takes a back seat.”
