It should work this year. With Martin Bauer and Karl Muggeridge, team boss Jens Holzhauer became Superbike champion. With the Czech Jan Halbich, he was sixth in the past two years. Holzhauer relies on the 24-year-old from the Czech capital Prague, but in 2017 Halbich struggled with form fluctuations that prevented a better result. Only when the knot burst at the Lausitzring did everything go smoothly.

Halbich is in good shape

It has to stay that way if there is to be a future. And at the moment Halbich is really in a better mood than ever before. In a three-day test in Valencia, Spain, things really got down to business recently. Halbich was in a great mood and burned times into the asphalt that would have lifted him to the top in the Moto2 World Championship. The Holzhauer Honda now has the new kit electronics. “Difficult to set up, but with significantly better functions,” says Holzhauer in a nutshell. On the last day Halbich went down and produced scrap. A foreign body on the track made him fall. According to Jens Holzhauer, this was clearly understandable in data recording.
