As part of the renowned Gamma Racing Day at the TT Circuit in Assen in the Netherlands, the IDM junior class is holding two races. The Gamma Racing Day extends over three days. It is the largest combined event of motorcycle, automobile and kart races in Europe.

As the IDM organizer and promoter, Motor Presse Stuttgart has pulled out all the stops to allow the smallest grade class to compete in this context. Two races will be held in Assen. They are the compensation for the IDM weekend in Zolder, in which the IDM Supersport 300 field could not take part. Background: A minimum age of 15 years is the prerequisite for racing on the Belgian circuit. However, the IDM is already open to drivers aged 13 and over. So in order to give all drivers the same chances in the fight for championship points, the races will be rescheduled on Gamma Racing Day.

The IDM Supersport 300 has developed into a secret bestseller over the course of the 2019 season in terms of the constant overtaking maneuvers and dramatic finishings. The races are often only decided in the last corner. After the weekend in Schleiz, the Belgian Angelo Licciardi (Kawasaki) leads the highly competitive junior class. In Assen he meets the two local heroes Rick Dunnik (Yamaha) and Colin Velthuizen (Kawasaki). But you also have to reckon with the best KTM rider in the field, the Czech David Kuban. The 17-year-old talent from Brno won the second IDM run in Schleiz.
