Indian Springfield Darkhorse team with BBQ grill
Grill team for Sturgis Festival
Indian equipped a Springfield Darkhorse with a sidecar and a fat BBQ grill for the biker festival in Sturgis / South Dakota at the beginning of August.
Tea Biker Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota is one instance. In 2019, the 79th edition will take place from August 2nd to 11th. In order to really heat up the audience on site, the US motorcycle manufacturer Indian has a customizer See See Motorcycles I.ndian Springfield Darkhorse equipped with a sidecar and a mighty BBQ grill.
BBQ grill with internet connection
For the grill, however, the choice was not just any meat roaster. The Ironwood 885 wood pellet grill from the range of the renowned grill manufacturer Traeger was chosen. The Ironwood 885 has an electronic controller that controls the supply of pellets from the storage container and allows the temperature to be set in five-degree steps from 74 to 260 degrees. It can even be operated remotely via an internet connection and app – at least the control. The double-walled side parts promise optimal temperature storage and quick heating. The variable grill grate system is designed in two stages. Tea Ironwood 885 can be used to cook, bake, roast, grill, smoke or prepare a classic barbecue.

The almost 70 kilogram Ironwood 885 was embedded in a classically designed sidecar. The grill cutlery is placed on the outside of the boat. In order to underline the Indian reference, a tubular handlebar was adapted to the lid handle of the grill.
The entire Indian team will cruise across the site during the ten-day festival and feed the motorcyclists at various locations.
