As early as November 2019, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki announced in cooperation with the supplier Bosch to equip its machines with radar-based assistance systems from the end of 2021. KTM and Ducati has already presented corresponding Bosch systems in series models.
For model year 2022, the Japanese seem to be making this announcement come true. A now caught Erlkonig points to this Kawasaki H2 SX, which is obviously equipped with this radar technology.
The revised H2 SX clearly has a large radar sensor under a new, smaller headlight. In addition, there is an integrated camera behind the windshield above the headlight. In the periphery, Kawasaki has adapted the fairing, the windshield and the air ducts accordingly. The safety package will then include adaptive distance and speed control, a collision warning and a blind spot assistant.

The revision of the H2 SX will also bring the 200 hp four-cylinder compressor up to Euro 5 level. The premiere of the revised Kawasaki H2 SX is expected in autumn 2021.

Conclusion
Assistance systems are being rolled out more and more. Kawasaki has already announced that its models will be equipped accordingly. The first Erlkonig caught shows that radar technology is on its way.
