Kawasaki presented a revised version of the ZX-10-R at EICMA 2017 in Milan. The Kawasaki ZX-10R SE will be launched next year with a semi-active chassis.

The competition from Honda, Yamaha and Ducati has shown the way. Kawasaki is now following suit and has given its supersport top model ZX-10R a semi-active chassis that operates via stroke sensors on the fork and shock absorber, as well as on the basis of the other data supplied by the IMU (inertial measurement content ) such as speed, gear, throttle position and many other parameters adjacent damping properties are modeled. Thanks to the new semi-active chassis, the damping properties can be adjusted more quickly.

Kawasaki has given the new Kawasaki ZX-10R SE three driving modes: Street, Race and an individually set configuration. In addition, Kawasaki equips the SE with some components of the ZX-10RR: Marchesini forged wheels and Quickshifter come from the sister model. Compared to the standard version, the new SE has gained a little weight. It weighs 208 kilograms, which is 2 kilograms heavier than the normal ZX-10R.
