New - The Kawasaki ZZR1400 and Ninja 300 get a special series - Used KAWASAKI

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 and ZZR1400 are the subject of special series in 2014: if the little sportswoman of the Greens has to be satisfied with a few small cosmetic touches, the intimidating surface-to-surface missile of Akashi exhibits, for its part, more powerful silencers, a high screen and above all a luxurious Ohlins shock absorber.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 and ZZR1400 are the subject of special series in 2014: if the little sportswoman of the Greens has to be satisfied with a few small cosmetic touches, Akashi‘s intimidating surface-to-surface missile exhibits more efficient silencers, a high screen and above all a luxurious Ohlins shock absorber.

Called ZZR1400 Performance Sport, this variation trades its original mufflers for titanium models manufactured by Akrapovic: advertised as lighter (without further details as to weight gain …), these mufflers fit perfectly into the stealthy lines of this monster of 200 hp and 162.5 Nm of torque in the free world (read our).

This special series can also be recognized by its high screen, its saddle covering different from the origin as well as its black instead of gray counters towers. More notable still, the presence of a twin-tube Ohlins TTX shock absorber which offers no less than 22 possible settings of compression and rebound, as well as an accessible preload adjustment wheel.

Asked by Site, Kawasaki France is currently unable to tell us whether this approach will remain confined to the ZZR1400 alone or whether it will extend to other models … Because it is certain that a ZX -6R, a ZX-10R, a Z800 or a Z1000 mounted in Ohlins could attract a lot of sports bikers !

Provided, of course, that inflation is contained: a point impossible to judge for the moment, for lack of knowing the price of this ZZR1400 Performance Sport. For the record, the standard version is currently being purchased at a price of 15,799 euros.

Ninja 300 Special Edition

Kawasaki is also launching a Ninja 300 Special Edition which differs from the original model with red rim trims, tank protection and fairings with graphics inspired by those of the ZX-10R engaged in WSBK (read in particular our).

This special version will be available in October – with or without ABS – at a price that has not been communicated (from € 4,999 for the standard model).
