Kawasaki W 650 2001

The English women of the golden age of motorcycles ignited passions. From Norton to Triumph to the leather fights in front of the Ace Cafe in London, the ’60s vibrated to the sound of gleaming machines full of personality and reliability…. random. Inspired by the Bonneville, illustrious machine of the manufacturer of Hinckley, the W 650 is a superb idea of Kawasaki. Its success is undeniable, surely because it offers all those nostalgic for the sixties to \ “rediscover \” the charm of an Englishwoman of the time without having your hands in the mechanics every 200 kms. And then there are all those who appreciate beautiful machines, because the W 650 is a very beautiful machine. Like the Bonneville of yesteryear, the bike is powered by a 650 cc twin.

Not super powerful but very fun to drive, especially in low and mid-range. This mill, flexible enough and very little vibrating, exudes the joy of living. The sausage pots even give him a very pleasant tone of voice. Wide handlebars, low seat, easy to handle, it immediately puts the pilot at ease. With its general joviality, the bike quickly titillates your senses to offer it a playful ride. It will not take more to quickly have fun. Reassuring, the machine holds up well; and it is only at high speed that the stability can be improved in large curves. The handling is excellent, allows a lively and rolled driving on small departmental roads. This is where we will appreciate the work of the suspensions, preserving comfort while softening the imperfections of the road. The simple front brake disc is convincing but frankly right at the rear. The pleasure of riding this \ “Anglo-Japanese \” is simply superb.
