Now also with screen navigation
KTM has once again expanded its connectivity platform My Ride for 2018 and – supported by a special app – now offers turn-by-turn navigation and route planning in addition to music and phone functions.

The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer already had KTM the connectivity platform KTM My Ride activated. The range of functions has now been expanded again for 2018.
As a new feature for the 2018 generation, the KTM 1290 Super Adventures S & R now equipped with turn-by-turn navigation as standard. In conjunction with the new KTM My Ride app, which is available for EUR 8.99 for Android and iOS, the route guidance via Bluetooth is shown on the vehicle’s TFT display in an area next to the speedometer and rev counter, along with the set destination displayed. The following are visualized:

Route planning also possible offline
The required maps can also be downloaded for offline use. Those who like to drive off-road can add up to 128 waypoints to their route planning. When using a Bluetooth headset, the driver can also access audio instructions in English, German, Spanish, Italian or French.

KTM My Ride is not only reserved for owners of a 2018 model year motorcycle. Owners of a 2017 model year KTM 1290 Super Adventure S or R can also have the free software update installed at their KTM dealers.
Previously available KTM My Ride via a music and phone function that can be activated on the following models: KTM 125 Duke, KTM 390 Duke, KTM 1290 Super Duke R, KTM 1290 Super Adventure S and KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. At the KTM 790 Duke requires an optional hardware upgrade.

KTM My Ride Music
In conjunction with a Bluetooth headset for the helmet, this function enables the driver to operate the music player on his motorcycle while driving. With the menu switch on the left of the handlebars, the rider can switch through the songs in a playlist or music collection and adjust the volume, while the relevant information about the respective song is shown on the bike’s TFT display.

With the phone function, the rider can connect a smartphone to the bike, he sees all information about incoming calls on the TFT display and can accept or reject calls with the menu switch. As a safety precaution, you cannot open the address book or make calls while driving.
