Dignified and very successful proto-concept so far, the Laverda SFC 1000 will finally point the tip of its muzzle out of the shows; to the delight of some privileged 579 who ordered it in time. Sporty modern Laverda descendant of the SFC of the 70s (yeah, especially the color), it is closer to the cafe-racer style than to the pistarde born to do battle on the circuit; a bit like the Voxan of the same name.
Its attributes are enough to make many productions of the rising sun pale: fully Ohlins suspensions adjustable in all directions, carbon fairing, forged aluminum wheels … and the heart of the machine is none other than the latest generation. the Aprilia twin 1000, enclosed in a chrome molybdenum trellis frame. This one is not painted but only varnished to make you appreciate the degree of finish. The titanium pots greatly participate in the particular design of the posterior. Attention to detail is everywhere, and everything is done to make it visible – like the ultra-enticing mono-shock. Engine pleasure? Certainly. Reasonable ? Surely not ! The SFC is one of the machines that are addressed not to materialists but to enthusiasts.
Unfortunately, the SFC 1000 will only remain an exercise in style and will never see the light of day..
