Shock for the competition: BMW boss Stephan Schaller presented the brand new LEGO Technic BMW to the experts at the press conference in Milan R 1200 GS Adventure surprises.
The travel enduro equipped with standard suitcases and a topcase is the first 1200 that is not manufactured in the Berlin Spandau factory. And it is aimed at a completely new, very large target group: minors without a license!
The Munich-based company has only missed one target with the brand new, ultra-light model consisting of only 603 parts, namely the market launch before Christmas 2016. The 18 cm high, 33 cm long and 10 cm wide model will only be available from January 2017.
As equipment details, BMW names the LEGO Technic R 1200 GS Adventure – surprise – an actually rotating motor, which is driven by a cardan shaft as soon as the cast rim rear wheel starts rotating. In addition, the Lego GS will have a height-adjustable windshield – when things get stormy in the children’s room again. The rigid Telelever at the front is particularly interesting from a technical point of view.
A price for that from BMW as “challenging” The manufacturer has not yet named any designated building pleasure.
