Mash has found the right vein with its 125 vintage styles. And why stop in such a good way?!? The range is completed with a new girl of the ages, able to seduce new followers. The Black Seven wants to seek more rebellious souls, with an undisguised scent of the suburbs of England.
The small English flag on the covers of the airbox marks his desires. Elements of chic continue the illusion. Spoked rims, tapered pot, some chrome accents, a metal front fender and a long flanged saddle; all under a layer of style a bit more aggressive than the Seventy-Five. And, as luck would have it, in the same vein as a certain Orcal Astor. La Mash has already found its direct competitor, and does not intend to give it a free rein.
No inverted fork for the Black Seven but cachet. With a whole black set: headlight casing, fork sleeves, protective bellows, brake calipers, wheel straps, triple clamp, reservoir. The latter, however, attracts attention with its golden fillets and vintage cap. The bike knows how to be as soft with a cream white color. What makes her the 125 Brown Edition.
This Mash seems to want to get out of the London fog, with her British face, her French accent and her Chinese guts. The engine does not care and instead thinks of satisfying Euro4. A Delphi injection makes it possible to pass this course. Then it’s the mechanics of all Mash 125s, simple and retro, with 1 ACT, two valves per cylinder, air cooling and 11.6 horsepower on hand. It is enough to walk with this machine of 112 kilos. Take a walk, eh … Do not ask him for the Saturday night tussles in front of the cafes.
Who says Euro4 also says mandatory ABS … or combined braking. To maintain an aggressive price, there is no question of cracking an anti-blocking device which would inflate the price by 20%. Mash therefore installed a coupled system, sending 70% of the power to the front 3-piston caliper with its 300 mm disc and 30% to the rear 220 mm disc..
If the price is modest, that does not prevent the Black Seven from offering some refinements. As evidenced by the central stand, the removable stainless steel pot, the LED rear light, the Fat Bar handlebars and the dual-dial instrumentation on a white background (oops, the gear indicator has disappeared …).
A motorcycle that brings maturity to the Mash 125 range. Enough to continue success without falling into pretension.
