The manufacturer Morini is picking up steam in recent years. Still dying not long ago, the small Italian brand has reoriented itself towards the high end and it seems to be successful. The sporty and characterful Corsaro ZZ roadster presents itself as a figurehead. It is joined to the catalog by a close cousin, intended to expand the clientele. The ZT makes an effort on the price, but hardly on the performance.
A T for Touring. No, let’s not go that far. But this ZT promises to be more accessible with a modified tank which allows a better reception of the pilot, for a more relaxed driving position. Should we see there a sign of relaxation of the virulence of the productions of the brand of Trivolzio?!? Not at all !
Closely derived from the ZZ, the Corsaro 1200 ZT sports a logically similar plastic. With the exception of the face: the threatening double glance is replaced by a single round headlight, very classic, with even bulbs inside. In the age of full LED, it is worth highlighting.
The pots under the saddle always have an effect. Fashion is long gone and yet, hard to find fault with this Italian exercise.
There is a beautiful digital panel in front of the handlebars serving as a dashboard. Its inclination has been changed to make it more readable.
History not to encroach on the fiery reputation of the ZZ, this cousin benefits from the same twin of 1187 cm3 but slightly softened in its engine management. Power didn’t change, still spewing out a good 139 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. To transform its impulses into road emotions, the chassis is preserved with the tubular steel trellis frame, Mupo suspensions adjustable from all over and large Brembo M50 4-piston brake calipers. .
In a way, this Corsaro ZT takes over from the 11 and 1/2. A little nicer, a little cheaper, lightened by six kilos but technically very close to the ZZ, this roadster looks like a crisp way to discover the Morini passion. Confidential distribution to be expected, which may cause hesitation but ensures a special stamp.
