Maverick Vinales won the MotoGP race in Argentina. Hondo Vinales team-mates Valentino Rossi and Cal Crutchlow landed on the podium in Termas de Rio. Jonas Folger secured a strong sixth place.

First Jorge Lorenzo got it, then Marc Marquez, who had dominated until then. The MotoGP race in Termas de Rio Hondo got off to an eventful start. After Marquez’s fall, Maverick Vinales took the lead at the Argentine Grand Prix and never let it be taken away. The young Spaniard had presented himself in excellent form throughout the race weekend. The only German MotoGP rider Jonas Folger scored the next points in his second race in the premier class and ended up in sixth place after a good race.

German Moto2 and Moto3 drivers collect points

In Moto2, the German drivers Sandro Cortese and Marcel Schrotter collected their first points of the season. Cortese finished eighth in Argentina; Schrotter came in eleventh. The Italian Franco Morbidelli landed right at the front.

Things went even better in Moto3 for Philipp Ottl. The only German Moto3 starter finished in fourth place after a strong race. Joan Mir secured victory in Moto3.
