Icon Motorcycles Triton

Cafe racer with Triumph technology

With the new Triton, the Dutch motorcycle manufacturer Icon Motorcycles has launched a delicious Cafe Racer that uses modern Triumph engine technology.

E.in a featherbed double-loop tubular steel frame and a road holder fork made British bikes legendary in the 1960s. Now the motorcycle manufacturer Icon Motorcycles from the Netherlands is preparing to revive this legend.

The new Triton models rely on a frame in the classic cut into which modern water-cooled 900 twins from the Triumph shelf are integrated. At Triumph, for example, the 900 twin-cylinder engines work in the Street Twin or the Bonneville T100. In the Triton, the two-cylinder should bring 69 hp and 69 Nm torque to the start. The rear swing arm is supported by two spring struts on the frame. The driver sits on a leather-covered one-man hump seat behind an aluminum tank. The side covers are also made of light metal. The twin is allowed to exhale through a stainless steel exhaust system with short megaphones.

Handcraft according to customer requirements

Of course, the Triton stands on wire spoke rims. Fenders made of aluminum are also stretched over the wheels. Since the Triton models are only manufactured entirely by hand at the customer’s request, there is plenty of scope for customization. For example, a small frame-mounted half-shell cladding with a plexiglass dome can be installed over the round headlight or a bare version with deep stubs can be ordered. In the cockpit, two analog round instruments announce the hustle and bustle of technology.

Icon Motorcycles has not yet announced prices. A Triton is unlikely to be available in the base for less than around 27,000 euros, not including special requests as price drivers.
