Africa Eco Race: the three leaders consolidate their positions
On mainly stony Moroccan tracks, the third stage of the Africa Eco Race 2019 between Foum Zguid and Assa allows the Italian Alessandro Botturi (Yamaha) to register his second victory and consolidate his first place ahead of the Norwegian Pal Anders Ullevalseter (KTM) and the Italian Simone Agazzi (Honda).
All roads lead to Dakar … but the one taken yesterday for the third stage of the Africa Eco Race was particularly difficult for bikers, on a course made up mainly of stony tracks. Alessandro Botturi (Yamaha No.103) wins his second stage vitcoire ahead of his main rival Pal Anders Ullevalseter (KTM No.100) and Simone Agazzi (Honda No.116).

"I am happy to have arrived without falling because the stones are not really my favorite terrain, but today there was only that!", Explains the pilot from Metz (57) on arrival. "The swimming was complicated with small traps, but it was still a good day, we have an incredible chance to be able to do that!"
Finally the French Julie Vanneken (KTM n ° 158 below), the only female pilot in the Africa Eco Race, is in 40th position overall. Although returned to the bivouac late last night, this sales representative at BMW Azzurro in the Paris region resumed the start this morning and therefore continues on her way to Dakar….
