"This system is activated when the engine ECU detects certain specific conditions linked to the engine cycle, thanks to the lambda sensors and to the potentiometer sensor placed at the level of the throttle opening. It then creates an air flow coming from the air box towards the cylinder heads, which allows an injection of fresh air which reduces unburnt particles.", explains Ducati.

The engine power is entrusted to an electronic injection with two 52 mm throttle bodies controlled by a Ride-by-Wire which integrates three different maps within the driving modes (see the "Electronics" section below).

The Hypermotard is fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires in size 120/70/17 at the front and 180/55/17 at the rear, with 10-spoke aluminum rims, similar to the 1199 Panigale style.

Instrumentation

The Hypermotard’s compact instrumentation incorporates the main indicator lights on the upper part. They include the neutral indicator, turn signals, high beam, engine speed limit, oil pressure and fuel reserve..
