Mercedes-AMG buys 25% stake in MV Agusta

Mercedes-AMG GmbH is preparing to take a 25% stake in the capital of Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta. No details have been communicated on the amount of this equity investment which must still be approved by the end of the month by the authorities..
As part of this agreement – a few days ago, presumably eager to wait for Milan to confirm it – the sports subsidiary of the German manufacturer will also have a member on the board of directors of MV Agusta.
"The perfect partner"
Commenting on this partnership – which naturally evokes the takeover of -, the CEO of Mercedes-AMG explains that "MV Agusta is the perfect two-wheel partner for AMG".
"We are close not only because of our historical successes in competition, but also because of our shared values and our vision for the future", continues Tobias Moers: "the collaboration with MV Agusta also underlines the importance of AMG as as high performance sports car brand at Mercedes-Benz ".

Giovanni Castiglioni also underlines that "MV Agusta and Mercedes-AMG represent the perfect marriage between two brands" (read).
