Fortunately for fans of this 80-year-old brand, the future finally seems to brighten up: Moto Morini has just been bought at auction by Eagle Bike, an Italian investor group made up of Sandro Capotosti (founder and chairman of Banca Profilo) and Ruggeromassimo Jannuzzelli (managing director of Camuzzi and chairman of Astor SRL).

The two men acquired Moto Morini for 1.96 million euros, a sum that does not include the purchase of the premises of the Italian brand in Bologna. The curator of the brand, Piero Aicardi, nevertheless granted Eagle Bike the use of these facilities for two years..

Sandro Capotosti and Ruggeromassimo Jannuzzelli have so far not communicated any business plan or strategy for the development of the brand in the short or medium term, which is not without worrying the thirty employees of Moto Morini.

Questioned by our Italian colleagues from Motociclismo, Sandro Capotosti however seems to want to restore the brand to its former glory, specifying that the takeover of Moto Morini "in these economically difficult times" is an operation which was carried out "with the heart".
